#1: Buffalo Chicken. For those who love their spice.
#2: BBQ Chicken. For those who want something a little more mild.
I love them both equally. You can choose to just make one flavor, but I mean, come on, how fun is it to have TWO different flavors? 🙂
These chicken wonton cups are perfect for March Madness <– if you’re into that kinda thing, but they’re also perfect for a fun snack/appetizer to bring to a party, or even as a lighter meal option!
They’re crunchy, they’re portable, and they’re just so darn yummy!
Buffalo? BBQ? Spicy? Sweet? It’s up to you!
Soooo…. I originally made these Buffalo/BBQChicken Wonton Cups for the Super Bowl.
Then I had leftovers, so I made them again for The Bachelor, which was the next day.
Then I the next day was Fixer Upper, and I mean, come on, you HAVE to have snacks for Fixer Upper. . . so I made them again.
THREE days in a row. That’s how much I love these.
I love theseChicken Wonton Cups because A, they’re easy & B, they taste good.
What’s not to love about that?
Here’s what you’re gonna do:
Make the two separate fillings:
Buffalo: Take cooked, shredded chicken and combine with butter, Franks Red Hot Sauce 🔥♡, and blue cheese. Done.
BBQ: Take cooked, shredded chicken and combine with your fave BBQ sauce. I♡ Stubb’s.
Now it’s time to assemble:
Place wonton wrappers <– I’m obsessed, in a greased, standard sized muffin tin.
Fill half with the buffalo filling and fill the other half with the bbq filling.
Top with buffalo with more blue cheese and top the bbq with monterey jack.
Bake and serve with green onions (for the blue) and cilantro/red onion (for the bbq)
All that’s left is to seriously STUFF.YOUR.FACE.
I’m not kidding, that’s what I did Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night and you know what? I’m not the sliiiiightest bit embarrassed.
Nope, because theseChicken Wonton Cups are too.darn.good.
The Buffalo Chicken Wonton Cups are spicy, blue cheesy, so juicy, and just ultra satisfying. The BBQChicken Wonton Cups are a little sweeter, ultra cheesy, ridiculously juicy, and the wonton cups themselves are perfectly crunchy, but a still perfectlychewy.
UGH! Bring it on March Madness, I’m ready to get my snack on!

Hi Jennifer! These look great. I’d like to prep them the night before they will be served at a lunch shower (along with lots of other things, thus the need to prep)…do you think the wonton wrappers will hold up overnight without getting too soggy? Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

Hi Kierstin! Thank you! I would prep the filling and toppings the night before (store separately in the fridge), then assemble and bake the day of! I hope that helps 🙂 Enjoy!
